Moving On: Headman and Council Positions Filled

At the last regularly scheduled council meeting, nominations were made for individuals to serve in headman and council positions vacated by Cliff Bishop, Curtis Smith, Don Harness, John Brown, and Morris Chiles.  After the nominations, everyone present at the meeting had an opportunity to vote.  As a result, the following positions were filled:

• Headmen:  Doug Cotter, Phillip Hubbard, and Dub Maxwell
• Council: Dennis Gilmore, Doyle Morris, Kenneth Riggs, and Mike Ketcherside
• Council/Speaker: Jim Davis
• Council/Treasurer: Susan Jarrett

These results will remain in effect until an election by qualified census card holders can be held.  A new constitution and an election for all positions will be coming up later next year.  In the meantime, the new headmen and council will continue work on our Technical Assistance Review that will be going to Washington.
