True Colors

Summary based on information in the Arkansas Cherokee Phoenix, Volume 1 Issue 3

Resolution #7262006 shows where the Conway-based corporation "Lost Cherokee of Arkansas & Missouri, Inc." is attempting to amend the name on Petition #204 for federal acknowledgement.  Note that the names used on this resolution are inconsistent with the names on the original petition. This corporation is not listed with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and has no part in the federal recognition process.  Also note that the signature page is dated prior to the cover page.  But that's easy to understand since this document tries to cover for actions taken in secret almost two months earlier.

Resolution #11242003, Certification of Documented Petition for Federal Acknowledgement, refers frequently to the "Tribe" but includes no references to the corporation "Lost Cherokee of Arkansas & Missouri, Inc." This corporation consists of only two members.  Can you guess who they are?
